Aunt Liddy has always been an example to me of what being a strong Christian woman meant. She shared her love of life, her laughter and her knowledge with all of us. She taught me so much and her legacy will last within me forever. Aunt Liddy taught me to sing, to share joy and love with everyone I meet, to crochet and knit and make sure it was neat. Aunt Liddy has always been an example to me of what being a strong Christian woman meant. She shared her love of life, her laughter and her knowledge with all of us. She taught me so much and her legacy will last within me forever. Aunt Liddy taught me to sing, to share joy and love with everyone I meet, to crochet and knit and make sure it was neat. When I needed to learn but my sisters wouldn't teach me, she was right there to show me the way. From folding towels and pillow cases, to gardening and baking Aunt Liddy was always willing to share all she could to help me grow up and be a strong young lady with God in her heart. I watched with great care how she took care of mom and was an awesome big sister to my dad and his siblings. She was the best example a little girl could get of what it meant to take care of your parents.

Although she has passed this life and is here no more, I feel good inside knowing that the last time we saw one another we shared a BIG HUG, a kiss, and I whispered the words..."I love you" in her ear. I love you Aunt Liddy, may you sing sweetly with the angels and care for those who have gone on before you. They are so blessed to have you!

We will miss you Aunt Liddie, most of all that giggling smile. You have released your heart of grief and care, free to just leave treasured memories there. By faith the will of God has taken her to a place where His grace will always keep her. We love you as much as Daddy did!

She was the person who ensured your birthday meal was prepared or your scrapes and cuts were tended to. She was the substitute mother or father (depending what the situation was) that you needed to make it through whatever it was you were going through.

I recall having a loose tooth just barely hanging on in my mouth, but I was too afraid to pull it out. Aunt Liddie asked me what color flowers I wanted on my grave because surely that tooth would come out while I was sleeping and cause me to choke during the night. I promptly asked her to save my life and get that tooth out of my mouth -- she lovingly obliged my wish. I love you Aunt Liddie, rest in peace and take care of all those in need up in heaven as you took care of our family for nine decades.

Aunt Lydia will be greatly missed. I have always enjoyed her pleasant smile and sweet disposition. She's has been the Minor Family matriarch for quite some time and it saddens me deeply that we've lost such a pillar to our family. Aunt Liddie will remain in my heart forever. May she rest in peace.
